Aygaz hits the road with the “What will the weather be like tomorrow?” project to combat climate change.

Aygaz aims to raise awareness and sensitivity regarding global climate change with a “hands-on” approach and leave future generations a better world.

Istanbul, September 21, 2010 – Aygaz, a leading Turkish energy company, launched its new environmental project entitled, “What Will the Weather be Like Tomorrow?” with a press conference. The project became even more important when the European Union declared 2010 to be “Weather Year”, and the purpose of the project is to enhance public awareness and sensitivity regarding climate change.

Aygaz will visit 11 provinces in Turkey with its “Sky Truck”, which was put together for the project and includes a planetarium and a magic globe. The goal is to give our citizens an opportunity to witness climate change visually and convince them to take action by allowing "hands on" experience in visits that will begin in Sivas and continue to Şanlıurfa, Van, Kars, Trabzon, Samsun, Kastamonu, Eskişehir, Antalya, Izmir and Tekirdağ. The Sky Truck will stay one week in each of the 11 provinces providing high school students and the public with educational courses on climate change prepared by the Regional Environmental Center (REC).
